In Hearthome City, you can take your cute Pokémon on a walk at Amity Square. Although it is not that useful, you can gain some contest items if you talk to your Pokémon once in a while.
Here are the Pokémon that can go; Pikachu, Cleffa, Jigglypuff, Psyduck, Torchic, Shroomish, Skitty, Pachirisu, Drifbloon, Buneary, and Happiny.
