It was confirmed that Pokemon Platinum is coming out on March 22, 2009. I added a countdown widget at the bottom of the blog. Plus, it's also Icefirre's birthday! Happy Birthday to... never mind.

I'm going to edit this blog over the break. Expect some changes.

Giratina & the Sky Warrior

The US name of the pokemon movie coming was called Giratina & the Sky Warrior. There's a summary on Serebii on this movie, but I don't recommend reading that; it would spoil the show. More updates coming soon.

"Pikachu Event"

In the Nintendo World Store in New York, there is an event that gives away free Pikachu for D/P. But this is not an ordinary Pikachu, this special Pokemon knows the move "Present". Don't expect to drive all the way to New York to get a Pikachu, but it is something worth mentioning.

The last Pokémon of the Week is...

Giratina!

Giratina is dragon and ghost Pokémon that lives on the other side of the world. In Diamond and Pearl, you can get Giratina in Turnback Cave. But in Platinum, you get Giratina in the Torn World. The entrance is at Spear Pillar. Giratina has a normal form and an origin form. The origin form is supposedly more powerful. Giratina is the most significant pokemon in Platinum and the "mascot" of the game. Scary Pokemon for Halloween, isn't it?

Porygon!


Porygon is the world's first artifical Pokémon. It can travel through electronic space. You can upgrade Porygon, too. If you trade Porygon while holding a Up-Grade, it will evolve into Porygon2. If you trade it again as Porygon2 while holding a Dubious Disk, it will evolve to Porygon-Z. The only way to obtain Porygon is getting it in a house in Veilstone City.

There's going to be a Dragonite Event at Toys R Us on November 8/9 from 12pm to 4pm. You can get a free lvl 50 Dragonite. Lvl 50s are rare because they usually evolve at lvl 55. It also has a lot of powerful moves. Be there if you need one!

Mamoswine!

Mamoswine is a Ice and Ground type Pokémon. Its two tusks are made out of ice. They were common in the Ice Age. Mamoswine is also in the new Sinnoh Dex. Just like Yanmega, you can evolve Mamoswine by learning Ancientpower. But you need to use a heart scale, because it learns it at level 1. Mamoswine learns moves like Ice Fang, Mud Bomb, Blizzard, and Earthquake.

Top Trainer Cafe

After you finish the Stark Mountain (in Platinum), you can access to the Top Trainer Cafe in the Survival Area. The trainers are basically all the Gym Leaders and Battle Partners (pokemon levels 60+!). Click here to learn more.

Gardevoir!

Gardevoir is a Psychic Pokémon. It guards its trainer with its life. Gardevoir can see the future. It levitates using psychic power. To get Gardevoir, you can evolve a Kirlia at Level 30. It is one of the Pokémon in the new Sinnoh Dex. Gardevoir can learn moves like Magical Leaf, Psychic, Hypnosis, and Dream Eater.

In this place, you only get to bring one Pokemon (two if Double Battle). Your Pokemon's level doesn't change, so you should bring high level Pokemon.

Nintendo DSi (Nintendo Digital System Improved)

This is the newest Nintendo DS model, which they announced at a japenese conference. The new features are that it has no GBA Slot, so hold on to your old DS. But this one instead has an SD Card reader and two built in cameras. You can also download some games on it too!(sorta like Wii Shop Channel) I will post a picture as soon as I get on my other computer (the one I'm using is blocking the picture uploader).

Similar to the Battle Tower, but you do not get your Pokemon healed after battle. You earn Castle Points which you can spent on items.

Yanmega!

Yanmega is a powerful bug type dragonfly Pokémon. It can send shock waves by churning its wings that inflict a lot of damage. You can get Yanmega by teaching Yanma Ancientpower at level 33. Yanmega is the first Pokémon in the new Sinnoh Elite Four (at lvl 49). It can learn moves like Ancientpower, Slash, U-Turn, Air Slash, and Bug Buzz.

Togekiss!

Togekiss is a normal and flying type Pokémon. It never appears where there's strife, though sightings of it have been rare lately. You can get Togekiss by evolving a Togetic with a Shiny Stone. Togekiss has been added to the Sinnoh Dex, and also is an addition to Champion Cynthia's team (replacing Gastrodon). It can learn moves like Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Extremespeed, and Sky Attack.

The Pokémon of the Week is...

Absol!

Absol appears everytime before a natural disaster. As a result, people believe it is a doom-bringer. Actually, Absol warns people because it can sense disaster. You can find it in a swarm. Absol is also a new Pokémon for the new Sinnoh Dex. It has strong attack. Absol can learn moves like Night Slash, Psycho Cut, and Perish Song.

More about Rotom Forms

Rotom's forms can be changed in the Galactic Hideout in Eterna City. In one of the rooms, there will be five appliances on the floor. Go to the appliance to change Rotom's form. When it is changed, it will also learn a spcial move.

Platinum Legendaries (continued)

Cresselia
Same as D/P. Go to Fullmoon Isle and Cresselia will run away.

Articuno, Zapdos, & Moltres
When you get National Dex, Professor Oak will tell you the Birds are spotted in the Sinnoh. They are roaming in the grasses like other legendaries.

Regirock, Regice, Registeel
After you have obtained Regigigas, you can find the Regis in these caves:

• Regirock-Route 228.
• Regice-Mount Coronet near exit in Route 216.
• Registeel-Iron Island.

They are level 30.

Platinum Legendaries

Giratina
Found at the end of the Torn World. It is level 47. Be careful, the Origin Form is very powerful.

Uxie, Azelf, & Mesprit
Same as D/P (In the lakes)

Dialga & Palkia
After you get National Dex, get the Adamant Orb (Dialga) and/or Lustrious Orb (Palkia) in Mount Coronet. Return to Spear Pillar and there will be a blue/pink portal. Go to it and Dialga or Palkia will battle you.

Heatran
Same as D/P, except it is Level 50.

Regigigas
Same as D/P, except it is the weakest legendary is Platinum, only level 1.

The Pokémon of the Week is...

Tropius!

Tropius is a Grass and Flying type Pokémon. It lives in tropical jungles. Tropius eats its favorite fruit, which grows around its neck. Everybody loves to eat the fruit. Tropius flies using the leaves on its back as wings. You can find it in the Safari Area (Pastoria Great Marsh Game) It can learn moves like Magical Leaf, Body Slam, Air Slash, SolarBeam, and Leaf Storm.

Platinum Reminder

If you don't already know, Platinum is coming out tomorrow in Japan.

Serebii already got theirs Wednesday, and already got to the Battle Frontier (gasp). They're playing through the game and posting incredibly fast, and I'll try my best to catch up. Visit Serebii to see.

Five New Rotom Sprites

Again, to let you know, I post these news from Serebii and Platinum News. There are five new Rotom Sprites, each resembling a household item. The frost form looks like a fridge, the water form looks like a washing machine, the flying form looks like a fan, the grass form looks like a lawnmower, and the fire form looks like a toaster. Check Serebii to see the pictures.

Platinum Update 3

Hopefully, this will be the final update before Platinum actually comes out in Japan:

• 59 more Pokemon in Sinnoh Dex than D/P, making a total of 210.
• Probably more pre-evolutionaries (i.e. Cleffa, Igglybuff, Pichu, etc.)
• Confirmed that Underground will not be Wi-fi.
• In Wireless, there's a feature where you and your friends can put in eggs, and they will be tossed up. You will get random Pokemon for it.
• In the "Battle Frontier", you can buy scratch cards with your battle points.

Flygon!


Flygon is a Ground and Dragon Pokémon that lives in the desert. It whips up sandstorms by flapping its wings. Known as the Desert Spirit, Flygon can hide himself by kicking desert sand and covering itself. Its wings' sound like singing. You can get a Flygon by evolving Vibrava at level 45. Flygon can learn moves like Dragonbreath, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Hyper Beam.

The Pokémon of the Week is...

Snorlax!

The only thing this Pokémon does is eat and sleep. Snorlax can digest any food, and doesn't feel full until it eats 900 pounds a day! It is also very lazy. Snorlax has high HP, attack, and special defense. It can learn moves like Sleep Talk, Body Slam, Rollout, Crunch, and Giga Impact.

Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness New Wonder Mail!

There are two newly discovered wonder mail for Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness.

• Wonder Gummi Mission: You can get the Wonder Gummi in this mission. All pokémon love the Wonder Gummi-it sharply raises IQ and completely fills any Pokémon.
• Ice-Type Mission: Defeat Glalie and retrieve the Max Elixir to make your ice Pokémon stronger!

Pokemon snaps is an on-rails First person camera shooter first released on nintendo 64, but now on the Wiis virtual console. You are a boy (omg) named Todd a.k.a Snap. You are sent to " Pokemon island ( they do need better name dont they)" by professor oak to film the 60 pokemon on pokemon island.

Eevee!

This Pokémon may not be strong, but it can evolve into seven Pokémon with different types! Eevee has a wierd DNA that allows it to adapt to the enviroment. It will mutate if exposed to different stones. Eevee can evolve to Vaporeon (Water), Jolteon (Electric), Flareon (Fire), Espeon (Psychic), Umbreon (Dark), Leafeon (Grass), and Glaceon (Ice).

Release Date

The release date for Pokémon Platinum, (as you probably have known) is on September 13, 2008 in Japan. It will be released in USA sometime in 2009.

The Torn World

Hey, everyone, sorry, but I have been forgetting to check this blog and post on it (there isn't much good material anyway). So I'm going to tell you about The Torn World.

The Torn World is a COMPLETELY different dimension than the one we are in now. And, of course, the laws of physics are different here. The "land" is torn apart, and the little pieces of soil or whatever the material is are floating everywhere at different angles. They don't know if there are going to be any wild Pokemon in The Torn World. I think there will be ghost Pokemon (sorta like the ones in red, blue, green, yellow, leafgreen, and firered). There are some surf paths in The Torn World. It is mostly black in The Torn World. The only known Pokemon you can find here is Giratina at lv 47.

Shedinja!


Shedinja is a very odd Bug and Ghost Pokémon. It is a discarded bug shell of Nincada. Shedinja has this special ability called Wonder Guard. This ability prevents damage from any attack except for super effective ones. The bad thing is, Shedinja only has 1 health. You can get this Pokémon by evolving a Nincada when you have a space in your party and at least one PokéBall.

The Battle Recorder

A new device in Pokémon Platinum, the main function is that you can record your battles and share with your friends. The battles will be ranked by popularity. Another function is that you can take pictures of your PC boxes. If you have a lot of legendaries or rare pokémon, you can show off to your friends.

Since this blog is getting pretty big, you can use the search feature on the top of the blog if you're trying to find a post.

Platinum Update 2

• Different beginning. (You meet Cyrus in Lake Verity when you start)

The Pokémon of the week is...


Golem!


Golem is a powerful rock Pokémon. Its boulderlike body is so tough, a dynamite can't hurt it. Golem tumbles down mountains, leaving grooves from peak to base. It lives in the volcanic craters of the mountain peak. Golem sheds its hide once a year. You can get this Pokémon by trading a Graveler. Golem can learn Rock Blast, Earthquake, Explosion, Double-Edge, and Stone Edge.

Pokemon Trozei

Pokemon Trozei is the first puzzle game featuring Pokemon for the Nintendo Ds. To play, you must slide a row or column and all the Pokemon in that row or column will move. A simple game, but its rather fun.

The Torn World

In Platinum, when Cyrus awakens Dialga and Palkia, a tear in reality is created, and you have to enter the torn world. All the platforms and floors are at different angles. You can catch Giratina, (origin form) there. You can find the entrance in Spear Pillar.

Slaking!

Slaking is the world's laziest Pokémon. It saves its energy while lounging for its nest attack. Slaking spends all day lying around, only eating grass within its reach. Although they are very lazy, Slaking has a lot of stored energy and can release the power all at once. Slaking's previous evolution, Vigoroth, is the complete opposite. Scizor!

Scizor is an unique bug and steel Pokémon. It has a hard body and pincers with eye patterns on it. These are used to intimidate foes, because it looks like it has three heads. Scizor flaps its wings to keep body temperature, not to fly. You can get a Scizor be trading a Scyther holding a metal coat. They have good attack and defense. Scizor can learn moves like Razor Wind, X-Scissor, Night Slash, and Iron Head.

Victreebel!

Victreebel pools a fluid in its mouth like a honey scent, but it actually an acid that can dissolve anything. It has good attack and special attack. Victreebel can learn moves like Razor Leaf and Leaf Storm.

Lapras!

Lapras is a water Pokémon, and it usually to transports people on its back. Lapras is also one of the few Pokémon able to understand human speech. It has been so overhunted that it is nearly extinct. Lapras' always searches for any of its kind that still remain. It has good Health and Special Defense. Lapras can learn moves like Perish Song, Brine, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, and Sheer Cold.

The Pokemon of the Week is...

Roserade!

Roserade, as you probably guessed from the name, is a rose Pokemon. Its attracts Pokemon with its sweet aroma, and strikes with whips covered with poisonous thorns. You can get Roserade by evolving a Roselia with as Shiny Stone. It has good Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. Most trainers would want a Roserade on their team. It doesn't learn many moves, but it can learn many moves as a Roselia before it evolves, such as Mega Drain, Magical Leaf, Giga Drain, and Petal Dance.

My Pokémon Ranch

My Pokémon Ranch is a game for the Wii, where you can transfer your Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl to this game for storage. You can store up to 1000 Pokémon at a time. You can interact with your Pokémon, such as petting, taking pictures, etc. It came out on March in US; you can get it already!

The Pokémon of the Week is...


Tyranitar!


Tyranitar is a powerful rock and dark type Pokémon. In fact, it is so powerful that it can destroy a whole mountain to make its nest. Tyranitar can also completely bury rivers. It roams around looking for any opponents willing to fight it. Tyranitar starts as a small Larvitar, then evolves into a Pupitar, and finally, at level 55, it makes its final evolution to a Tyranitar. All of its stats are very good except speed, (it's rock!). Tyranitar can learn moves like Rock Slide, Dark Pulse, Crunch, Stone Edge, and Hyper Beam.

Pokémon Video Game Showdown

The Showdown is the battle between the best Pokémon Diamond and Pearl players from the United States and Japan. The Pokémon of the Week is...


Altaria!


Altaria is a dragon and flying type Pokémon. It looks like a fluffy cloud when it flies. Altaria has a soprano voice and often sings its melody. You can evolve it from a Swablu at level 15. Altaria has the special ability Natural Cure: when it is withdrawn, all its status is healed. Altaria has high special defense and speed. It can learn moves like Dragonbreath, Fly, Dragon Pulse, Perish Song, and Sky Attack.

Deoxys Event Confirmed

It is confirmed that the US GameStop stores will be giving away Deoxys on the weekends of June 20 and 27. The Deoxys' moveset is: Psycho Boost, Zap Cannon, Iron Defense, and Extremespeed. It holds a Nevermeltice. Check the countdown to keep updated.

The Pokémon of the week is...


Gallade!


Gallade is an unique Psychic and Fighting type Pokémon. It fights with swords extended from its elbows. It you want a Gallade, you need to get a male Ralts or Kirlia. But instead of evolving it at level 30 into a Gardevoir, you give it a Dawn Stone. Gallade has good attack and special defense. It can learn moves like Psycho Cut, Slash, False Swipe and Close Combat.

More about the New Movie

It has been revealed that the Japanese name for the 13th movie is Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky, but the English name is yet to be announced. As you probably have known, the battle between Dialga and Palkia continues from the previous movie. Plus, Giratina and Regigigas will join the battle. It supposedly features Giratina's 0rigin form, an ice form for Shaymin, and possibly another form for Regigigas. As I previously posted, there is also going to be several new Pokemon from the Fifth Generation.

Aggron!


Aggron is a tough Steel and Rock type Pokémon. It has strong steel horns that can crush bedrock while it eats iron. Aggron claims a whole mountain its territory: it beats up anything daring to intrude. Aggron always restores any damage done to its territory. You can get Aggron from an Aron or Lairon, and evolve it at level 42. It has really high attack and defense. It can learn moves like Iron Head, Iron Tail, Double Edge, and Metal Burst.

Mirage Island

Mirage Island can be found in RSE. It very rarely appears, and only for a about a day. You can tell if its there by the man in the bottom right house of Pacificlog Town. In Mirage Island, there are only Wynauts, from level 5 to 50. The rarest berry, the Liechi Berry, can be found there. It can make gold PokéBlocks.

Darkrai!

The main reason the pokémon of the week is Darkrai is because the Darkrai Event is tomorrow! Darkrai is a rare, legendary, dark-type pokémon. It can only be obtained by cheating or Nintendo events (like tomorrow!). Darkrai has the special ability Bad Dreams. It makes automatically inflict damage between turns when the opponent is asleep. Darkrai can make people have nightmares. It has high Speed and Sp. Attack. Darkrai can learn many rare moves like Nightmare, Dark Void, Dream Eater, and Dark Pulse.

Don't forget the Darkrai Event at Toys R Us tomorrow!

Pokémon Glitch

This is a Pokémon Glitch, quoted by Larryhillybillybobjoebob, and posted from the Burger. I posted it because most of you can't go on the Burger, and it's pretty interesting:

"Hello everyone! I have one more thing to post. This is odd but... it is about a pokemon glitch. Yesterday *coughcoughcough* my friend (and my sister's friend) came over, and we were about to drop them off. I was trying to catch my friend so I could see what he was doing in his pokemon ruby, then he shouted "Look what I found in the wild!" and guess what it was? A LEVEL 100 BELLOSOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was an amazing descovery, really. I knew it was a glitch, obviously, because u cant find pokemon like that. He defeated it, which was lucky, because he didnt have a level 100 pokemon. Then, the game wasnt finished with him yet. A level 100 Masquirian (pronounce it then plz comment how to spell it) appeared and it killed my friends last pokemon. He was supposed to leave the battle... anyways, when he died, he didnt go to a Pokemon Center. He was near a patch of grass. I thought that was strange because that is most likely where he found the two pokemon. He reports it is east of Larvaridge town, but I looked it up in my guide, and it said it was route 112 near the trainer that is to the left of the rock, two steps away to the right of the trainer. I think it is a dangerous gltich, and I await more imformation from my friend."

Problems with Paintings

Recently, there have been readers complaining that their drawings have been messed up. I figured who done this, but I told him I wouldn't tell Yixuan (I'll privately tell you, Larryhillybillybobjoebob) but don't mess up with the paintings anymore (you know who I'm talking about *cough cough*). Now, you should keep on drawing pictures so I could get some that aren't messed up.

Shaymin's Sky Form

Shaymin was rumored to have a sky form (see below) but it turned out to be a fake! PurpleKecleon (I have no idea who that is) admitted that it was created to be a hoax. However, there still could another form of Shaymin still not discovered.

Arcanine!

Like Rapidash, Arcanine is known to be a really fast fire Pokémon. It can run over 6,200 miles during a single day. It is a pretty strong and rare fire type (dog) Pokémon. You can evolve it from Growlithe by a fire stone. Arcanine has good HP, Attack, Sp. attack, and of course, speed. Although Arcanine doesn't learn many good moves, Growlithe learns moves like Flame Wheel, Fire Fang, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, or Flare Blitz.
